The earthquake and tsunami disaster which is feared everyone, especially for those living in disasterprone areas such as the mountains and the coast. Casualties due to this disaster, because of the lack of public knowledge about how to save themselves when the disaster occurred. The priority implementation of disaster risk reduction and risk management in the frame of the catastrophic earthquake and tsunamibased education for communities in the region prone to earthquakes and tsunami, then the efforts and action plans undertaken include: putting disaster risk reduction which must be supported by a strong institutional and utilizing the knowledge, innovation and education to build awareness of safety and resistance to disaster at all levels of

Research done by deskriftif – qualitative approach, data was obtained by determining the number of respondents from 4 District 12 Sub with a value kemuadian Slovin through questionnaires with three indicator i.e. the attitude, knowledge and preparedness. Method comparison of Exponential (MPE) is one method of determining the priority of decisions, sorted by rating score from largest to smallest, alternative to next perform socialization about the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami. The results obtained from MPE Malingping sub district was the irst area of prioritybased educational sosialisas it does with a demonstration of a simulated earthquake and tsunami disaster, then further sub – other sub.
