Kajian Risiko Bencana Gempabumi di Kabupaten Cianjur

In 2009, Cianjur Regency had been hit by an earthquake which caused 28 people dead, 42 missing and 21 people injured, and 10.047 residents displaced. This research aims to determine the potential hazard, level of vulnerability, exposure and risk of earthquake in Cianjur Regency. The hazard analysis is conducted by combining the intensity of bedrock shocks data and Ground Amplification Factor (GAF). The vulnerability analysis is conducted by combining the physical, economic and social components. The exposure analysis is conducted by combining the components of distance from the central government and distribution of settlements. The risk analysis is conducted by combining the components of hazard, vulnerability, and exposure. Results of the hazard analysis show that 164,98 Ha area of Cianjur Regency has high potential of earthquake hazard, 143.186,89 Ha has medium potential of hazard, and 218.083,11 Ha has low potential of hazard. For the level of vulnerability, 10.827,07 Ha area of Cianjur Regency has high vulnerability level, 19.966,98 Ha has medium vulnerability level, and 330.640,93 Ha has low vulnerability level. For level of exposure, 13.152,50 Ha of Cianjur Regency has high exposure level, 5.280,25 Ha has medium exposure level, and 343.002,23 Ha has low exposure level. Finally, results of the risk analysis indicate that area of 10.422,13 Ha in Cianjur Regency has high potential risk, 20.780,48 Ha has medium potential risk, and 330.232,37 Ha has low potential risk. Therefore, increasing the capacity of mitigation and preparedness of the people living in high-risk areas of earthquakes are needed to be implemented.
